What our AI project fixed price covers.
An AI project with us breaks down into three packages: assessment, pilot, and ongoing operations. The assessment takes one week, and the pilot delivers your first internal pilot within 72 hours. Rollout and operations are billed monthly, with a minimum term of 12 months. The exact price depends on your data situation, the number of use cases in scope, and the infrastructure you already have in place.
01 Three packages at a glance
Every AI project with us runs through three clearly separated packages. They build on each other but can be booked individually, so you can decide after each step whether and how to continue.
| Package | Content | Duration | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assessment | Analysis of data, processes and existing systems landscape, written recommendation | 1 week | from X euro, amount depends on scope |
| Pilot | One use case in internal test operation, usable in production by selected teams | first internal operation in 72 hours | X to Y euro, price range depends on effort |
| Rollout and operations | Production operation including maintenance, monitoring and support | ongoing | from Z euro per month, minimum term 12 months |
The exact amounts for X, Y and Z are not fixed as a blanket figure yet. They depend on the factors in the next section and are confirmed in writing during the initial call.
02 What moves the price
Three factors determine where your project lands within these price ranges.
Your data situation is the biggest lever. If data is structured and accessible, the effort for the assessment drops noticeably. If data is scattered, incomplete or locked in legacy systems, the analysis needs more time before a solid pilot plan can take shape.
The number of use cases affects the pilot price directly. A single, clearly defined use case is quicker to set up than several parallel processes with different system connections.
Existing infrastructure determines the rollout price. If you already have usable servers, cloud capacity or a data protection concept in place, you save build time compared with a project that starts completely from scratch.
03 Worked example
The following example is our own model calculation with disclosed assumptions - not a market study and not a price commitment.
Assume a mid-sized company with an average data situation, three clearly defined use cases, and existing cloud infrastructure. Under these assumptions, the assessment sits at the lower end of its range, because the data is already structured. The pilot lands in the middle of the X-to-Y-euro range, because three use cases are implemented instead of one. Monthly operations start close to the lower value, from Z euro, because no new infrastructure has to be built.
If any one of these three assumptions changes, the result shifts accordingly. An exact quote only follows the assessment of your own case.
04 Operating costs
After the pilot, ongoing operations begin, and this is where the real cost question sits for most companies: run the infrastructure yourself, or bill based on usage. Monthly billing rests on either a flat price for the agreed scope of functionality or a usage-based model, whichever fits your request volume.
How the two models compare at your expected volume is shown by the cost-comparison calculator. It works with disclosed assumptions about hardware, power, location and staff, and delivers the result immediately, with no form.
05 Funding
Funding programmes can cover part of the cost of an assessment or a pilot. How large that share is in your case cannot be stated reliably as a blanket figure - it depends on the specific programme, your company size and your federal state. An overview of currently open programmes with checked status is available under funding for AI projects. For us, funding is a possible door-opener, not a building block we base our pricing on.
06 Six questions about price
